Our Ethos and Giving Back: Supporting Pajama Program
We believe in the importance of giving back; social responsibility was embedded in the DNA of Ophelia & Indigo from the very beginning.
We use our surplus fabric to make pajamas for the New York City Chapter of the Pajama Program and specifically for children in a domestic violence shelter here in Brooklyn.
We also donate books from our local bookstore, Books Are Magic along with every pajama delivery, supporting Pajama Program’s mission to provide children with a comforting bedtime routine.
Pajama Program is a national nonprofit organization that promotes and supports a comforting bedtime routine and healthy sleep for children to help them thrive.
It started in 2001 and has helped millions of children facing adversity in the United States and Puerto Rico by providing new pajamas, storybooks and sleep health education resources for caregivers. It also runs local programs in New York, Atlanta and metro-Detroit.
It relies on volunteers, donors and partnerships with community-based organizations across the US and Puerto Rico to continue its great work.
